5 Things I Do To Stay Organized As A Blogger!

Stay Organized as a Blogger

One of my New Years Resolutions for this year, is to stay on top of my blog. With this, comes organization. Here is the list of things I do and will improve on this year, to stay organized as a blogger.

 Calendar App.

I love having a digital schedule, with all my important tasks, dates & to do’s. Personally, I love using Google Calendar, as it’s easy to make it personal. They give you the option to choose different colours, which makes organization much easier. The app itself is quite simple to use and it’s free! You can also sync multiple calendars (from siri, to your email) and add friends to certain ones!

A Planner / Notebook.

I probably have a million notebooks at home and I tend to just stack them to the side, where they don’t get used. It’s taken me forever to find the perfect planner, for blogging. I got my hands on the Leuchtturm 1917 Weekly Planner (gold edition), I love the colour & the fact that the week is on the lefthand side of the planner and a blank notes page on the right. There are several different planners out there, so be sure to get one that best suits you!

Google Drive.

Another Google product, which is great when it comes to staying organized! I love having all my documents and photos in my drive, for easy access on the go. It is super convenient to share documents with friends, or colleagues, which tends to be important for businesses or bloggers. Drive is also linked to other Google services such as Docs, Sheets, etc. Many bloggers use the app to start blog posts on a tablet or phone, when they have no access to a computer.

Create a schedule / Plan in advance.

A new one for myself, but so far so good! The most successful bloggers prepare in advance, often times having a list prepared. It is easiest to maintain your blog when you have a schedule. Do what you feel most comfortable with, whether it being 1 or 8 blog posts a week! Go at your pace & what fits with your everyday life, but remember to try and keep that schedule!

Clean & organized desk.

Having an organized space to work on, is great to keep your mind clear. I have a few things on my desk that I use regularly, my laptop, phone & that’s about it! To make the setting a bit more relaxing, you can add a candle or a hand cream. I personally love having a lavender cream at my desk, it is so soothing!

What are your favourite tricks or tips when it comes to staying organized?

I’m currently struggling with transferring ALL of my travel pics to google drive so that I can easily access them from my laptop, a major blessing when plugging pics into blog drafts.

In resolving to stay on top of blogging this year, I’ve also created a schedule for all things related to my blog!

Loved reading this post, Kelly! It was much needed and so timely! 🙂

Having a calendar and creating a blog schedule in advance definitely helps in making blogging easier. I’d also add a having a hard disk to keep a copy of all blog contents – pictures, posts contents.
