Why I Love Traveling & You Should Too

Why I love traveling

One of my favourite quotes is “Travel is the only thing you buy in life, that makes you richer”. There is so many benefits that come with traveling. I created Travelette as a place to share my thoughts and document my journey as I travel city by city. Here are some reasons why I love traveling & you should too!

You learn new things

When traveling, you get to explore and see all kinds of things. Some new things, some similar things or even things you’ve seen before. However, each and every single time, is a new experience. My father always told me, that there are so many things that travel teaches you, which school cannot. You learn about independence, being accepting towards other cultures and much more! Who wouldn’t want to see the World and get “educated” at the same time!?

You get to see amazing places

No matter the city you go to, there is so much to see and do. Whether you are exploring your own city or traveling many miles away, there is always a street corner that will catch your eye. When traveling, you get to see many things, you never did expect. A beautiful landmark, a magical forest, or even the beach. Remember to have a camera on hand, to capture all the amazing things you see during your travels!

Good for your mental & physical health

Traveling is great for your overall health. As you explore, you are always on your feet & staying active. You’re on the go, making sure that you don’t miss a thing, taking in all the beauty. It is also good for your mental health, because you feel like you’re taken out of your “Daily Routine”. Being out & in a new environment rejuvenates you. If you feel like you’re trapped in one place, go out and take a walk in another part of town! There is never a place too for or near to travel to.

It challenges you

Especially when traveling to a foreign country where you don’t speak the native language. Well, even traveling within your own country can be a heck of a challenge! Navigating, being surrounded by new and exciting things, feeling lonely, the overall confusion.

But that is the beauty of travel; ” Nothing in this world is worth having or worth doing unless it means effort, pain, difficulty. No kind of life is worth leading if it is always an easy life.”

Do you love traveling? If so, I’d love to hear why & where to! x

I couldn’t agree more with your bullet points. I studied abroad in Italy and I remember walking 10+ miles a day. Goodness, I miss it. This totally reminded me I need to plan a trip this year!
